In 1964 Glasurit introduced 54 Line, the first metallic basecoat line for automotive refinishing. A year later, BASF Aktiengesellschaft in Ludwigshafen, Germany acquired Glasurit. To this day, the brand continues to stand for the highest quality refinish paint in the aftermarket industry.
