Mississauga’s BASF named one of Canada’s top 10 best workplaces
Manufacturer highly regarded by Great Places to Work
For the second year in a row, Mississauga-based BASF has been named as one of Canada’s top 10 best workplaces in manufacturing by Great Places to Work, a global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures. Great Place to Work gathered direct feedback from employees across the country in an extensive and anonymous survey about their workplace experience, including statements on safety, credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. “We have a dedicated team of employees who work at manufacturing sites and offices across the country, serving our customers in a range of industries. Our goal is to create an inclusive workplace culture where our employees feel safe, empowered and valued,” said Terri Howard, director of human resources, BASF Canada. To be eligible for the list, organizations with manufacturing facilities must be Great Place to Work-Certified™ in the past year, and participate in the world-renowned Trust Index© Survey and at least 90% of the employees participating in the survey must rate the company as a physically safe place to work. “We are committed to promoting and protecting the health, safety and wellness of our employees, as well as our customers, contractors, and communities. We are continuously looking for ways to strengthen awareness about our daily working environment and keeping a safety mindset, whether in an office building, production site, research lab, or out in the field with our customers,” said Brett Rajkumar, environmental health and safety team leader, BASF Canada.
