BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings
A brand of BASF - We create chemistry

BASF and Bentley are hosting two advanced level Glasurit refinish courses during the month of September to be completed by Bentley repair center technicians.

The courses, available in both Low VOC and National Rule, are titled Advanced Glasurit 90 Line (BEN200) and are required for technicians who work at accredited Bentley collision centers or those in the process of becoming accredited. Instructed by Glasurit global trainers, Bentley technicians will become familiar with the application processes to replicate Bentley finishes such as 3 stage, Liquid Mercury, Piano Finish and Matte Clear and their correct uses in the paint shop environment. Each course is limited to eight students and requires previous completion of Glasurit 90 Line (BEN100).

“Color is intensely personal to Bentley owners,” said Jeff Wildman, OEM Manager for BASF Refinish. “It’s extremely important that the craftspeople at Bentley-accredited collision shops accurately replicate the wide range of colors and finishes offered by Bentley. BASF is very proud that Bentley has chosen Glasurit as their exclusive paint partner worldwide.”

Bentley’s vision of a shop that is recognized as one of the best in the world mandates that a set of specific requirements are consistently met, including the exclusive use of Glasurit 90 Line paint on Bentley vehicles. In addition to proving mastery of each Bentley-Glasurit application process, technicians must also satisfy other requirements for accreditation such as demonstration of the skills, technical expertise and passion needed for providing the best possible customer experience to Bentley vehicle owners.

Advanced Glasurit 90 Line (BEN200) will be held on the following dates:

  • Low VOC: BASF Training Facility – Houston, Texas, from September 10-12
  • National Rule: BASF Training Facility – Houston, Texas, from September 17-19

BASF’s product portfolio includes products for multiple industries. A product that is compliant for one region, industry, application or end use, may not be compliant for another region, industry, application or end-use, and BASF accordingly disclaims all representations, conditions and warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.

To assist automotive refinish customer searching for information about BASF products that meet the VOC limits for automotive refinish use, BASF provides Wall Charts that list the products that are compliant with the automotive refinish VOC regulations in specific regions in North America (country, province, state, air districts). It is the responsibility of the purchaser/end-user to ensure they know and understand the regulations for their specific region, industry, application and end use and ensure that the products that they are using are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and any permits specific to their business.
