BASF Ambassadors Win Big at Goodguys Columbus Show
The Goodguys 21st PPG Nationals Show, held earlier this month in Columbus, Ohio, ended on a high note for vehicles finished with BASF coatings.
The Goodguys 2018 Classic Instruments Street Rod of the Year went to the 1929 Mariani Model A Tudor, featuring BASF’s Glasurit® 55 Line paint, built by BASF ambassador Troy Trepanier from Rad Rides by Troy. The vehicle is owned by Mark and Dennis Mariani and was also the 2017 SEMA Battle of the Builders® winner.
Goolsby Customs was recognized with the Fuel Curve Feature Award for its 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, coated in BASF’s Glasurit 22 Line “Glasurit German Chocolate.”
BASF was also represented among the finalists for Street Machine of the Year by the Ringbrothers’ 1972 AMC Javelin AMX, featuring BASF 55 Line “Jalop Gold” and the 1965 Fastback Mustang “Vapor” by Roadster Shop, featuring Glasurit 90 Line “Sport Classic Grey.”
“The craftsmanship of our BASF ambassadors is astounding,” said BASF North American Marketing Director Dan Bihlmeyer. “Their talent truly highlights the best ability of our premium products and we’re thrilled that industry awards like Goodguys recognized their incredible abilities.”
