Body shops can now manage production from anywhere through AutoSpot, an intuitive digital production management tool that allows technicians and managers to track every part of a repair moving through their shop in real time.

Launched in 2022, AutoSpot is a separate entity that can work in any body shop regardless of paint line and shows the status of every car as it moves through the repair process. The software also eliminates time spent searching for items in the shop, saving technicians at least one to two hours per day on average and a lot of frustration. Whether it is a tool, set of keys or any other item, AutoSpot can locate it within 30 seconds or less through Bluetooth-powered beacons that transmit signals back and forth using special wall readers.

“My productivity and organizational skills in terms of body shop information have greatly improved because of Autospot,” said Regina Acuna, body shop advisor for Art Moran Buick GMC. “When Manjusha [Khaire] came to me with this software, it helped provide me with a better way of keeping any files updated and on track rather than having different websites open when everything I need is in Autospot. Additionally, I have cut out the normal paper and pencil method which became tedious, as I have to juggle with other tasks as a body shop advisor. It has helped immensely and I’m excited to see it grow and improve.”

AutoSpot’s simplicity and real-time updates allow shops to do more with less. For example, shops who use this software eliminate the need for long production meetings that go over every repair status. A quick look at AutoSpot on a TV monitor or tablet gives them all the status information on each car that they need to know.

“At OBS [OnBoard Scheduler], we enjoy partnering with AutoSpot because of the exchange of creative ideas strengthening both of our solutions,” said Troy Fallows of OBS. “Ultimately, that is beneficial for our customers because they get more value out of the features. What made AutoSpot great to partner with was how easy it was to connect to their API. Shops should be looking for solutions that connect with each other because it makes everything more efficient instead of rekeying information from system to system.”

The use of AutoSpot also impresses younger people during recruiting efforts. Operating digitally is now the preferred and familiar method, whether it is working at a collision repair shop or completing other tasks in life that can be done easier and faster in a digital space.

Whether it is eliminating chaos, increasing customer satisfaction, or optimizing shop production, AutoSpot is the tool that can deliver each of those experiences.
